Pain is unpleasant, but it’s necessary…
I’ve experienced a great deal of pain, but it was necessary…Right?
Take heartbreak for example:
Most people would say that heartbreak brings you pain and misery.
And they aren’t wrong, but I would like to add that it can also open your eyes to a variety of things.
It can make you wiser and it can…in a weird way…bring you love.
I know this is kinda contradicting, but hear me out.
I remember when I got my heart broken…it hurt like hell, and I honestly didn’t want to keep going anymore.
To some this might sound pathetic, but this is my story, this is my truth.
And yes, although I was hurting badly, I realized something.
I realized that I had so much love I was giving that person and now that they were gone, I had so much love going nowhere.
I realized the that’s why I was hurting, because I was loving…nothing.
So, I decided to take that love that I was giving them and give it to something else.
You see, after heartbreak, it’s so easy to fall to pain, and in some cases hate, to the point that we forget about the love that was once there.
You have to take that love, embrace it, and invest it into other things.
I’m not saying ignore the pain,
I’m saying, acknowledge the pain, but don’t let it consume you.
I’m saying, acknowledge the love that’s there, and embrace it.
I’m saying, acknowledge the experience, and learn from it, grow from it.
I’m saying, that there’s multiple sides to the spectrum, you get to decide which side you want to focus on.
