Freedom is something that most of us crave from a young age, but freedom from what?
Freedom from the judgement of others? Freedom from our own negative judgment?
Freedom from our anxiety, from our depression?
Or in most cases freedom from authority? The authority of our parents, our teachers, our government officials, or anyone.
What do we want freedom from?
What does it mean to be free?
Well, I can’t speak for everyone but I can give my personal response.
Sometimes I like to lay down outside and just look up at the sky, seeing the clouds float around and the birds fly freely fascinates me.
I like to picture myself doing those things, floating around freely or just flying.
Not having to abide by any rules, just me, myself, and my thoughts. The word freedom has several meanings and one of them is, “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint”.
That’s what I crave, that’s what I want, I want freedom from judgment, I want the freedom to be who I want to be, I want freedom in every way, shape, or form.
